Its Coco Time....
I love Coco Chanel! Here are some Coco quotes to live by...
“I don't understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little - if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that's the day she has a date with destiny. And it's best to be as pretty as possible for destiny.”- Coco Chanel
Oh Coco, you would be so disappointed in me...smh
* I have removed this picture because it disgusted me. lol*
SN- Lets not judge ladies. I been working 2 jobs and I haven't had a chance to stay presentable. Lets not even talk about my room...
“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.”
Right now I'm not winning with that one either...
“A women who doesn't wear perfume has no future.”
This made me giggle. Sound like something my great aunt Yolanda might say... Lowkey I think Coco Chanel was West Indian
Ill post pics when I don't look like there is a full moon out.

Ms. She's Favorite Things!
If Oprah can do it, why the f*ck cant I?
LOL... I may do more but today is the health and beauty edition... and guys who read the blog dont run, you may find some good Christmas ideas!
LETS GO!
Sweet Almond Oil! Great for Hair and Skin...
Jojoba Oil. I put it on my hair as a light oil to seal in moisture after I flat iron or roller set! Its been one of my faves for a while
Avocado Oil. Great for dry scalp and deep Conditioning
GUYS! Avert your eyes!!! Ladies, this is the best feminine wash ever. I was never one to use feminine washed cause I didn't notice a difference. I just used my regular body wash. A friend recommended this and I bought a trial bottle and its AMAZING! It is so refreshing. I feel nice and clean. almost like a tea tree oil tingle... and lets keep it real, when is a nice tingle on your moot ever bad?
Loreal Sulfate free Shampoo. Get on it. Sulfate free shampoo is the new wave. It doesn't have the stripping elements regular shampoos have. This is not just for naturals! I recommend ppl who perm use this as well since your hair tends to dry out easily as well. Most sulfate free shampoos are great, this is just one I have a pic of now. You notice the difference immediately!
MAC LipGlass! It has to be LipGlass! I dont wear lipstick often. Only to the club or parties really... But during the daytime, when i want a splash of color, lipglass always delivers! they are more pigmented than other MAC glosses so I get a lipstick look with a lip gloss feel. LOVE IT!
Urban Decay Primer. One of my best purchases. Saves me alot of money. It helps keep eyeshadow on and vibrant. Also gives it a more smooth and clean finish. I <3 MAC but I hardly own any of their eyeshadows because of this primer. This makes drug store bought eyeshadow look good. Trust
God Bless the Moroccans. This oil (and any Moroccan Oil product on the line). This oil has been a life saver! It seals in moisture, and I use it with my rollerset, helps the drying time, and makes my curl shine!
Herbal Essence Long Term Relationship leave-in...I try products often. I have never strayed from this. I use it on straightened hair, and curly hair, on all hair! and its $3. A little goes a long way too!
Coconut Oil is another fave of mine, but its too heavy for my fine hair. This conditioner (whole line actually) is great. Makes my hair moisturized without all the extra bullsh*t
My favorite gel. I love me some buns. This is the best gel. Healthy, non flaking, and I can brush it out.
My Hunter Wellies! I love these comfy rain boots. They are about $120 and give you style comfort arent as expensive as Burberries ect. They come in a bunch of colors, including snakeskin!
YES to Cucumbers Facial Wipes. They are good for sensitive skin, and are much gentler than MAC wipes to me. The clothes are much softer and work just as well
This Sephora palette is a great set. A bunch of colors, and paired with the urban decay primer, you out her poppin! they have quite a few varieties, but this one is 30 for $30
But if you want some more colors... Try Eyes Lip Face (E.L.F>) 100 eyeshadow palette. For $20. Yes $20! and right now its on sale for $10!!! Again, with the primer, it brings the quality up alot!
Lastly my Minnetonka Moccasins. Lawd I love these things. I got them in black and brown. The fur ones keep your feet uber warm! They are under $40 and are so comfy...
OK, so that's it guys! If you have any questions feel free to ask! Oh and dont hesitate to add your own. I love buying and trying new things!

We got to do better..
No, this isn't even about my infatuation with Nicki, this is about my loss of respect for Lil Kim. Her retaliation (well I dont know what she retaliating to, cause not once had Nicki ever mention Kim's name, tho Roman revenge is said to be towards Kim), Black Friday, goes hard. I would appreciate it more if Kim had an album recently. The first album she put out in years, its hating on someone. Ugh Kim, please sit ALL THE WAY DOWN. You out here looking like Michael Jackson dipped in caramel, and you got a pretty girl still trying to say you were a good rapper, and you gonna play her. B*tch please. You look real bad right now. First Foxy, then Eve, then Remy, now Nicki. Like Nicki interview said, you going down as a hater now, and that's sad. Cause I used to love me some Kim. Which brings me to my point. Why the eff Kim got to hate? If she was smart, she would of collaborated with Nicki and got this money! They could of did the MAC lipstick together, called it Black Barbie or something.
Why do women have to hold each other back? This is sad. Nicki is becoming a brand, which I respect. She about her paper, and as odd as it sounds, I think she is more of a role model that Kim ever was. She even has a clean version of her album for those under 17. That's thinking b*tch! Kim never thought about any of this, and if she did, she never put it into action. Kim sees her as a threat to her Queen of hip hop status, and instead of working with her to make sure stay one step ahead, she tried to tear her down to her level. Men, they don't do sh*t like this, the collaborate, make sure when money being made, they not to far. Why you think Nicki doing so many features with men? Not cause she f*cking them. Cause they realize she the hottest thing out right now, and they need her to hit demographics that they wouldn't before. Nicki has said she is acting out things she likes. She went to LaGuardia for theater for heavens sakes... of course she is a gimmick. She know what makes money.
Ladies, I have said it before, nothing shows confidence for yourself more than being able to complement other. Whats hot for the moment is always changing but insecurity is NEVER in.

Hello December!
Sooo, after threatening tweets, bbms, texts, and gchats... here I am! Sorry I haven't been posting much but I got a lot going on! First off I took a second job at Macys. So I am slaving right now. the other day I slept like a baby cause I was so drained. I am off today (well I took it off), so I figured I will come bless the blog. I have kind of been in a funk lately too. My teaching application got denied so i felt kind of lost. I was really upset, but I am getting better. I cried (of course) for a day or 2, and started working on getting the hell out of dodge. I was very proud of myself. I am a complainer, but my new thing is I can't keep complaining and not doing anything. So now I got a second job so when I complain about money it valid, and when I complain I need a new job, it will because I legitimately can not find one, not because I have not been looking. lol
So more post are coming ppl. Look Out!

45 Lessons of Life
Good Day!
Im trying to stay on top of posting so bare (or is it bear) with me. My friend Janine (NY not Philly Janine... but s/o to my Niney) sent me this email and I thought the majority of them were good reminders. Especially after the weekend I had with the girls. My new motto is to approach each day like its my last (but be prepared in case its not)
Below is the email: Enjoy!
This was written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio.
"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I've ever written.
My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:
1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.*
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.*
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry, God never blinks.
16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.*
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words, "In five years, will this matter?
"
27. Always choose life.*
28. Forgive everyone everything.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.*
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.*
37. Your children get only one childhood.
38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
42. The best is yet to come.
43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
44. Yield.
45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."
Remember these lessons as you go through life.

FYI
A few people asked me what me what vitamins have I been using. I take 3 different types. All from GNC. I take GNC Brand hair skin and nail vitamins, GNC Brand Women Ultra Active Mutlti vitamin, and GNC Brand Omega Complex. The hair skin and nails I have been taking for quite some time (see the post about my hair growth for the results). The Multi I have been taking since September. I definitely feel the difference. The days I forget to take it I am lethargic. I fall asleep on the train on the way home. I felt a difference within 2 days of taking it. The Omega complex I just started taking but it has Omega 3,6, and 9. I don't get that fishy burping people complain about. And Omega 3 is the one vitamin Dr. Oz said he would take with him on a deserted island, and I trust that elf-eared Dr. with my life...
Here are the bottles
and here are the actual vitamins.
The green ones are the Hair skin and nails, the orange are the multis, and the brownish are the omegas. They are easy to swallow (even tho I do one at a time).
Let me know if y'all have any questions.

As we all know I am now semi obsessed with The Fashion Bomb Daily Blog. Well today, she posted about Short hair inspirations. I know a few people have mentioned wanted to cut their hair, especially to cut the perm out. For my length, I like Selita Ebanks, (who is starting to grow on me more and more after Kanye's Runaway Film her forehead deterred me before),
and as much as I hate to admit it, Rocsi.
The link is below. There are like 15 styles, so take a look and see if you get any ideas!

Yea, I think I am cute
Yes, I know I am in a bathroom. But I really love this Olive Military trench I got from NY&Co. It was originally 149.99, but with their sale, and a $50 off $100 coupon, I only paid 55. I also love this black leather gloves. Again, I know that i am in a bathroom and you can clearly see a toilet
Remember this is a judgment free zone...
For Colored Guys...
Really though Men...Really? All this anger?
Y'all just can't let us live. Have a weekend where we can feel like we can do anything, overcome anything, and support each other without men making this about them? I am really sick of the all these post about men saying how the movie depicted them in a bad light and Tyler Perry is a man hater. What-the-f*ck-ever! He based it off the play. Get mad at the author of the original play and poems if you want to be mad at somebody. The movie has so many women feeling good about themselves, feeling like they can do any and everything, and feeling like they are worth more than the world makes them feel, and you want to complain that it makes black men look bad. N*gga please...
How bout how bad black women look in this movie? That we support drunkards and abuse. That we are whores. That life gets us so down, we turn to other gods and semi cults to for saving. That we are crazy. That when we do get money, we are b*tches. That when we are nice, we are gullible and get taken advantage of. We look like full out fools. The message was that we are strong enough to overcome this. That we should support each other, especially in times of need.
Now, what if we replaced all the black men with white men? What would yall say then? I'm sure they would have something to say about the fact that the white men take their women and treat them like sh*t. Y'all gonna complain about how we support the white man. Blah blah mother f*cking blah. He even threw Hill Harper in there as a caring man (though I agree he wasn't a knight and shining armor).
The fact or the matter is yall need to sit all the way the f*ck down. Let has have a moment. Cause dead ass, Tyler Perry didn't put anything thing in there that wasn't a very sick but familiar truth.
ETA: I need to add on that this isn't just about BLACK women. All women suffer these same trials and tribulations. I personally feel (also, so do some scientific studies) that black women get hit the hardest with these things. If there was an all white cast, y'all wouldn't of said boo, however, I personally feel I would of still been moved. I am happy that it was an all black cast for the fact of people who wouldn't of been moved because of the color of the actresses' skin, and that a black person got credit for bringing this masterpiece to life.

For Colored Girls
So this weekend I went to go see the Tyler Perry movie "For Colored Girls". It wasn't exactly what I expected, and I won't be a spoiler, but all I can say is... DAMN
I looked in this movie, and I cried. And the crazy part is I didn't cry for exactly the same reason I thought I was going to. Of course there were parts that I could not help but cry, but some part I looked around and people were sobbing, and I wasn't even sniffling. And y'all know I am a cry baby. This scared me and caused me to cryI cant win. I felt... desensitized. And I felt like it was in direct correlation to this movie
Look what the f*ck black women go through on a regular basis. This isn't that is shocking. Women get raped, beat, whored out, become whores to avoid the pain, have their love trampled on, sh*t the list goes on. We encounter this on a regular basis. To the point where it doesn't faze a person who still cries at coffee commercials. If that's not f*cked up, I dont know what is.
I pray women look at this movie and realize their worth. I watched this and realized how blessed I was. I have not be inflicted by the specific pain these women have, but I have pain none the less. I realized I am Blessed that I am alive, and I am able to wake up everyday, and just enjoy life. Yes, black women go through so much, but we get through just as much.
I also pray everyone looks at the common denominator i noticed during the movie. Every women in this movie went through all there issues, but they all tried to go through it alone. They didn't look to their loved ones, or tried to help their loved ones. I notice with some many females, that they feel like admitting whats going on with their lives to other females. They feel like their burdening them. And can you blame them? How many times your homegirl came and said to you something that she had to do and she was tired or stressed, and your reply was "Yea I know the feeling! My ass had to do that plus...". I do that sh*t all the time. So, even if she was willing to talk, who would want to dump their problems on someone with their own?
So, I am going to make an affirmation. I WILL be there for my female friends. If you guys need someone to talk to, I am here. I wont mention my issues (unless you want to hear..lol). I won't downgrade your problems with my own. I will be your support system. I will be your legs when yours feel weak, you voice when you cant find your own, your tears when you think you have cried til you couldn't, and your smile when you don't have the energy to muster your own. I will be your friend.
I told one of my very closest friends who was going THROUGH IT, but shut everyone out to handle it herself cause she didn't want to be a "burden", to cut the shit. I chose to be her friend and I put up the Facebook status:
"When friends need each other, helping isn't a BURDEN. It's LOVE"
She told me to shut up. LOL. Love you guys, and have a good week...
I looked in this movie, and I cried. And the crazy part is I didn't cry for exactly the same reason I thought I was going to. Of course there were parts that I could not help but cry, but some part I looked around and people were sobbing, and I wasn't even sniffling. And y'all know I am a cry baby. This scared me and caused me to cry

I admit it... I have Girl Crushes...
Girl Crush-an overwhelming sense of awe felt by a girl for another girl elicited by varying causes ranging from deep respect to unadulterated lust. may result in the any or all of the following: general euphoria, prolonged sense of inspiration, desire for intellectual-intercourse with crush, simple sexual arousal, etc
ex-zoe bell is such a badass in deathproof, i am completely amazed at what she is capable of. she is my new girl crush (As per UrbanDictionary.com)
Now we all know mysick infatuation with Ms. Minaj
But she is not all...
Disclaimer- If for some reason Nicki Minaj is reading my blog, I'm not cheating boo... You my number one... If I know you are even in the same state, I will have my right boob out and waiting to be signed...
I have quite a few girls/women I think are absolutely gorg! For sake of friendships and to avoid awkward encounters, ill keep them to celebs and semi famous people...
Nia Long
I said it before... I'm gonna say it again... Nia is Banging... here she has no make-up on and she still looks amazing... I'm still hoping to wake up looking like her one day... *and Let us Pray*... Plus she has a great personality... Full effin package
Amber Rose
Its only right I have a girl crush on Nicki Minaj's BFF. One of the few Philly jawns I call cute, I really do love Amber Rose. She has a style that can go from hood chic to elegant. She has a I don't give a "eff you see kay" attitude that she covers well with a sweet smile (or some shades). She plus, she rocking the sh*t out that Caesar...
Stacy Dash
My first girl crush ever. I love Stacy Dash. Nah like... I LOVE Stacy Dash... She is the baddest to me. Hands down. She is the reason I always put highlights in my hair...lol... Oh Stacy
Chrisette Michele
S/o to the thick girls. I just love everything about her, her style, her voice, her twitter.... There is nothing else to say... just EVERYTHING
A. keys
I don't care if ya'll think she is a homewreckerUzy, she is beautiful, makes amazing music, and has done more for the bettering of the world than any female artist... I dont think she is a homewrecker...I think they are genuinely in love... plus I don't like Moshanda...
Zoe Saldana
I had to get a Spaniard in here. Something about her free spirit, or just her look I love... She seems like she is down to earth...
Ok. So who are your girl crushes? ... feel free to add pics...
Side Note- I may put a post up with just some pics of honorable mentions... not full on "Girl Crushes"... Just more like "Girl she Cutes" lol...
