For Colored Guys...

Really though Men...Really? All this anger?

Y'all just can't let us live. Have a weekend where we can feel like we can do anything, overcome anything, and support each other without men making this about them? I am really sick of the all these post about men saying how the movie depicted them in a bad light and Tyler Perry is a man hater. What-the-f*ck-ever! He based it off the play. Get mad at the author of the original play and poems if you want to be mad at somebody. The movie has so many women feeling good about themselves, feeling like they can do any and everything, and feeling like they are worth more than the world makes them feel, and you want to complain that it makes black men look bad. N*gga please...

How bout how bad black women look in this movie? That we support drunkards and abuse. That we are whores. That life gets us so down, we turn to other gods and semi cults to for saving. That we are crazy. That when we do get money, we are b*tches. That when we are nice, we are gullible and get taken advantage of. We look like full out fools. The message was that we are strong enough to overcome this. That we should support each other, especially in times of need.

Now, what if we replaced all the black men with white men? What would yall say then? I'm sure they would have something to say about the fact that the white men take their women and treat them like sh*t. Y'all gonna complain about how we support the white man. Blah blah mother f*cking blah. He even threw Hill Harper in there as a caring man (though I agree he wasn't a knight and shining armor).

The fact or the matter is yall need to sit all the way the f*ck down. Let has have a moment. Cause dead ass, Tyler Perry didn't put anything thing in there that wasn't a very sick but familiar truth.

ETA: I need to add on that this isn't just about BLACK women. All women suffer these same trials and tribulations. I personally feel (also, so do some scientific studies) that black women get hit the hardest with these things. If there was an all white cast, y'all wouldn't of said boo, however, I personally feel I would of still been moved. I am happy that it was an all black cast for the fact of people who wouldn't of been moved because of the color of the actresses' skin, and that a black person got credit for bringing this masterpiece to life.
