We got to do better..

No, this isn't even about my infatuation with Nicki, this is about my loss of respect for Lil Kim. Her retaliation (well I dont know what she retaliating to, cause not once had Nicki ever mention Kim's name, tho Roman revenge is said to be towards Kim), Black Friday, goes hard. I would appreciate it more if Kim had an album recently. The first album she put out in years, its hating on someone. Ugh Kim, please sit ALL THE WAY DOWN. You out here looking like Michael Jackson dipped in caramel, and you got a pretty girl still trying to say you were a good rapper, and you gonna play her. B*tch please. You look real bad right now. First Foxy, then Eve, then Remy, now Nicki. Like Nicki interview said, you going down as a hater now, and that's sad. Cause I used to love me some Kim. Which brings me to my point. Why the eff Kim got to hate? If she was smart, she would of collaborated with Nicki and got this money! They could of did the MAC lipstick together, called it Black Barbie or something.

Why do women have to hold each other back? This is sad. Nicki is becoming a brand, which I respect. She about her paper, and as odd as it sounds, I think she is more of a role model that Kim ever was. She even has a clean version of her album for those under 17. That's thinking b*tch! Kim never thought about any of this, and if she did, she never put it into action. Kim sees her as a threat to her Queen of hip hop status, and instead of working with her to make sure stay one step ahead, she tried to tear her down to her level. Men, they don't do sh*t like this, the collaborate, make sure when money being made, they not to far. Why you think Nicki doing so many features with men? Not cause she f*cking them. Cause they realize she the hottest thing out right now, and they need her to hit demographics that they wouldn't before. Nicki has said she is acting out things she likes. She went to LaGuardia for theater for heavens sakes... of course she is a gimmick. She know what makes money.

Ladies, I have said it before, nothing shows confidence for yourself more than being able to complement other. Whats hot for the moment is always changing but insecurity is NEVER in.

  1. I'm on the fence with the rivalry between them. If you look at the origins of real hip-hop, it all started with the battles to see whose rhyming skills were better and who could conquer the other. So to me this just seems to be a classic 80's rap battle between two MC's to see whose the greatest a la Jay-z vs. Nas, LL vs. Canibus, (insert other classic rap rivalries)etc.

Fast forward to modern times and this battle could also just be a publicity stunt because all it's doing is drawing more attention to both Kim AND Nicki which at the end of the day is a win-win situation. More people will want to know (if they don't know already) who Nicki is and listen to her music/download her album and Kim is back on people's radars again (somewhat). If you look at 50 cent and Kanye's fake battle when both of their albums were coming out a few years back, they purposely started this huge war to see who would sell more albums. If you were a big Kanye fan, you would buy his album so he would win and vice versa. This became a win-win for both sides because more fans went out to purchase their albums.

In the end, I always take these "battles" as publicity stunts these days. PR people are paid big money to stir up some fake ass controversy to draw a consumers attention (see "leaked" sex tapes and subsequent celeb stardom for the likes of Paris Hilton and Kim K.)so Nikki nor Kim is really hurting from all of this and we as the fans are just watching from the sidelines.

Anywho, much respect to Ms. Nikki, she said in one of her interviews that she wants to be the first female hip-hop mogul. Hopefully she can achieve that some day and pave the path for more females in the future.
